Qualifications:

  • Must present valid documentation confirming identity and legal authorization to work in India.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Completion of high school or equivalent certification is necessary.
  • Ability to work independently, remain on your feet, and navigate the store without assistance for extended periods, potentially up to 10 hours daily.

  • Self-motivated with the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team to accomplish tasks efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions provided verbally, in writing, or through visual aids.
  • Adhere to loss prevention guidelines when handling bank deposits.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, which may include extended hours, varied days, nights, weekends, and some public holidays.
  • Availability for a minimum of 3 days per week.
  • Maintain composure and manage stress effectively in a professional manner.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach with arms and hands, climb ladders, and lift and move merchandise weighing up to 30 lbs from floor level to a minimum height of 4 feet.

Responsibilities:

  • Under moderate guidance, the Seasonal Sales Associate supports the store team in daily operations.
  • Deliver outstanding guest service within a sales-focused environment, utilizing GameStop’s buy, sell, trade, and reservation model.
  • Ensure products are easily accessible and appealing to customers, enhance sales by sharing product and gaming knowledge, maintain a clean and organized store, and build customer loyalty.
  • Provide excellent guest service by promptly greeting customers, addressing their queries and concerns efficiently and politely, assisting them with their gaming needs, informing them about promotions and trade-in programs, suggesting relevant additional items, applying effective selling techniques during each transaction, and thanking every guest for choosing GameStop.
  • Prioritize guest interactions over routine tasks and demonstrate this by actively engaging with customers throughout the store.
  • Contribute to a positive shopping experience by maintaining visual and operational standards and fostering customer relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
  • Process customer transactions and returns accurately using the POS system, ensuring high-quality service.
  • Handle guest inquiries and comments in person or via phone, answering calls promptly and professionally to ensure excellent service.
  • Promote GameStop’s unique customer benefits, such as new title reservations and the Pro Rewards loyalty program.
  • Ensure all store areas, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised according to company standards.
  • Ensure all store fixtures and equipment are in good working order.
  • Process online (Omni-Channel) orders daily.
  • Protect company assets through effective inventory management and loss prevention practices, including awareness of scams, adherence to safety protocols, and making bank deposits as required.
  • Participate in store inventory counts, stock and restock merchandise on shelves and displays, and move products from the stockroom to the sales floor, ensuring products are presented, organized, and alphabetized.
  • Support store management in achieving sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete necessary administrative and operational tasks.
  • Accurately count, balance, and reconcile daily sales transaction totals in the POS system.
  • Ensure all end-of-day paperwork for sales transactions and bank deposit slips are completed correctly and accurately.
  • Assist management in ensuring the store has sufficient cash and change for transactions.
  • Make daily bank deposits following established procedures.
  • Check incoming shipments for discrepancies or shortages and record any issues in the POS system.
  • Report any discrepancies to the Store Manager / Store Manager 2 / Assistant Store Manager as needed.
  • Process defective or recalled items and stock pulls accurately and promptly, ensuring proper labeling and inclusion of packing lists.
  • Visually inspect associates' and leaders' bags and belongings at store closing or the end of a shift.
  • May assist in supervising and delegating tasks to other Sales Associates in the absence of management.
  • Consistently adhere to GameStop’s policies and procedures, including those in the Associate Handbook and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.
  • Follow all store opening and closing procedures.
  • May provide feedback on associate performance to store management.
  • Stand and move throughout the store unassisted to serve customers or perform tasks for up to 10 hours per day.
